On those nights, Konstantinos Dermentzoglou, captain of “Energean Wave”, receive calls by the authorities of the Port of Kavala.
An urgent need for the transportation of an old resident , or a pregnant woman or even a 28-day old baby, as it happened on February 2025, occurs.
The captain notifies Energean's Marine Coordinator Charalampos Andreadis, who gives the green light for the operation.
Energean Wave departs for Thassos either from Kavala or from the Delta platform to pick the fellow-citizen in need and return as soon as possible to Kavala.
Everything should be coordinated effectively and safely, in the harshest of conditions as winds reach 40 knots sometime.
